JoëlBorn in Reims, France and with degrees from Collège Neufchâtel, École des Beaux Arts, and Colorado State University, Joël has spent his life pursuing his passions: painting, teaching, and travel. These pursuits have taken him to Hawaii, California, England, Japan, France, and Italy as a textile designer, and his paintings have been exhibited in Tahiti, France, Belgium, Hawaii, Colorado, and now in Florida where he lives and works with his wife, Charla.An educator as well as an artist and designer, Joël has taught French literature and art at the secondary and college levels at schools such as Mid-Pacific Institute and Brandeis University. CharlaBorn in Florida and after only a brief six month stay, Charla recently returned to the state where she now lives and works with her husband Joël, after life and travels in France, Belgium, Hawaii, Colorado, California, and Massachusetts. With degrees from Colorado College, Colorado State University, and Harvard, Charla has had exhibitions of her paintings and fibers pieces in Colorado and now Florida.An educator as well as an artist, Charla divides her time between painting, teaching art history and studio courses, and textile design.
